Open-access Responses of peanuts to applications of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in the presence and absence of lime

Four experiments were conducted with peanuts (Arachis hypogaeaL.) on dark-red latosol soils, in the State of São Paulo, to study the effects of the applications of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in the presence and absence of lime. Liming increased significantly the yield only in one experiment carried out in a soil with pH 5.10. Even in this case, the interactions between lime and each of the nutrients tested were insignificant. Nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium increased significantly the yields in three, one and two experiments, respectively.
