Studies about coffee plantations in the county of campinas by means of photointerpretation

This paper reports the results of some studies made by means of photointerpretation about coffee plantations located in the county of Campinas. The number of plants was estimated and their distribution by type of soils, age and practice of planting. For this purpose aerial photographs were used, taken in June of 1962 with an approximate scale of 1:25.000. The results obtained showed a total of 1,953,000 coffee plants occupying an area of 1,697 ha.
