Recent tests for comparison of meansIn this paper the author discusses some of the new tests for comparison of two means or contrasts a posteriori, when the null hypothesis of a group of n means is rejected at an α level. The least significant difference test and also the tests of Newman, Keuls, Tukey, Scheffé and Duncan are discussed. The essential differences between them are pointed out in detail, as well as the rules applied to a particular case.
