ESTRATIFICAÇÃO DE AMBIENTES EM EXPERIMENTOS DE FEIJOEIRO NO ESTADO DE SÃO PAULOGenotype by environment interactions (GE) were estimated to identify contrasting and similar groups of environments. Joint variance analysis was performed for three experiments (E1, E2 and E3) of common dry bean in randomized complete block design with five replications carried out in the dry season (summer/fall) of 1990-93, in the winter season (fall/winter) of 1990-93 and also in the rainy season (spring/summer) of 1990-92. E1, E2 and E3 were made up of 17, 13 and 13 genotypes, respectively. The results identified environments where the GE interaction was highly significant such as those of Pariquera-Açu, Capão Bonito and Itaberá counties. In the Ribeirão Preto, Votuporanga, Aguaí, Mococa and Riversul counties the GE interaction was not significant, showing that they were ecologically similar. These locations were considerated the most homogeneous for yield and genotype evaluations.
