This paper aims at presenting an epistemological discussion concerning the discursive-deconstructivist perspective that has been developed in Brazil by Coracini and some other researchers in the Applied Linguistics field. From that perspective, it is proposed a link among the studies developed by Foucault, Lacan and Derrida. For that, it is presented a preamble discussion on some key concepts for the authors' work, which are: language, subjectivity and discourse. Secondly, some considerations regarding the discursive-deconstructivist position are triggered by the assumption of the subjective implications of the researcher throughout the research process.
