Abstract
Ortiz’s book is an invitation to reflect on the themes of our era, like diversity, cultural relativism and pluralism, which must be analyzed and appreciated beyond the usual dichotomies of eurocentric thinking. Importante categories for understanding societies, as nation-state, universalism and relativism, when traversed by the globalization process, had their context analysis (temporality and spatiality) changed.
