Abstract
At the end of 2020, the exhibition and the book Bielderatlas Mnemosyne – The Original were launched in Berlin, reconstructing the monumental work that the German scholar Aby Warburg (1866-1929) left unfinished when he died. Until recently, the work has been only known for the black and white photos made by Warburg from the 63 panels he had finished. For 10 years, two German scholars sought to find the images used by Warburg so as to reconstruct the original form, with colors and size until then forgotten.
