Open-access Digital literary reading experiences by young readers

Abstract

The literary reading has changed with the digital culture through digital works different from those produced by the printed culture. In this article we present a summary of the results from a survey conducted with young Brazilians aging from 15 to 17 years old. We present the experiences of digital literary reading of young readers seeking to identify the forms of search and access to digital and digital literary works read by them. The investigation adopted a quantitative perspective, with application of questionnaires, and qualitative, with follow-up of the practices of digital literary reading of young readers. For each type of digital literary reading there are specific ways to access them in the digital environments that make them available, as well as for each digital environment that provides digital literary works, specific procedures of localization of works are necessary.
