Geraldo Andrello is a Professor at the Graduate Program in Social Anthropology of the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar). Since 1990, he works with the indigenous groups of Rio Negro. He has also worked as an advisor to the Socioenvironmental Institute (ISA) and to the Federation of the Indigenous Organizations of Rio Negro (FOIRN). He is the author of Cidade do Índio: transformação e cotidiano em Iauretê (2006) and Rotas de criação e transformação: narrativas de origem dos povos indígenas do Rio Negro (2012).

Antonio Guerreiro is a Professor of the Department of Anthropology at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp) and a Research Associate at the Research Center on Amerindian Ethnology (CPEI). Since 2005, he works with the Kalapalo (Karib speakers, Alto Xingu). His main subjects of research are ritual, exchange and politics in Amazonia.
