Abstract
The article discusses a short bibliographical analyses on how some social scientists have written on the idea of black associativism, specially of its experiences at São Paulo, the state and the city. It also suggests a debate on researching black associativism at Post Abolition period as a black citizenship history, which allows to connect different experiences during the twentieth century and even the most recent periods, enabling important sociological questions.
