Graziella Moraes Silva is a Professor of sociology at the Institute of Philosophy and Social Science of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (IFCS/UFRJ), associated researcher of the Graduate Program of Sociology and Anthropology (PPGSA) and co-chair of the Interdisciplinary Network for the Study of Inequality (NIED). Her research focuses on social inequality and compared racial relations, with recent publications in Ethnic and Racial Studies, Latin American Research Review, Revista Brasileira de Ciências Sociais and Tempo Social. She recently contributed to the book Pigmentocracies: Ethnicity, Race, and Color in Latin America (2014). Graziella receives research grants from CNPq and FAPERJ.

Matias López is a Phd student of Political Science at the Pontifícia Universidad Católica de Chile and a collaborator of the Interdisciplinary Network for the Study of Inequality (NIED) at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. His research focuses on the fields of comparative politics, political sociology and research methods, with recent publications in International Sociology, Sociopedia.isa. He recently contributed to the edited volume Political Inequality in an Age of Democracy: Cross-national Perspectives (2014).
