Hugo Menezes Neto é professor do Departamento de Antropologia e Museologia (DAM) e professor permanente do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Antropologia (PPGA), da Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (Ufpe). Doutor em Antropologia pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Sociologia e Antropologia do Instituto de Filosofia e Ciências Sociais da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (PPGSA/Ifcs/UFRJ). Membro dos Grupos de Pesquisa do Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq): Núcleo de Estudos Ritual, Etnografia e Sociabilidade (PPGSA/UFRJ), Museus e Patrimônios na Amazônia (Ufpa), Laboratório de Estudos Contemporâneos (LEC/PPGA/Ufpe). Atua como coordenador do Observatório de Museus e Patrimônios Culturais (Observamus - PPGA/Ufpe). Dedica-se a pesquisas nas áreas de cultura popular, festas e patrimônio imaterial; além da interface entre antropologia e museologia, com ênfase em memória social, museus, cultura material e teoria dos objetos.
Renata de Sá Gonçalves é professora do Departamento de Antropologia e do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Antropologia da Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF). Seus temas de atuação são antropologia dos rituais, sociabilidades urbanas, expressões culturais festivas, carnaval e patrimônio cultural. Autora dos livros:Os ranchos pedem passagem, de 2007, eA dança nobre do carnaval, de 2010. Organizou recentemente as coletâneas: A antropologia na esfera pública: patrimônios culturais e museus(ebook), organizada com Izabela Tamaso e Simone Vassallo, publicada em 2019; Carnaval sem fronteiras: as escolas de samba e suas artes mundo afora, com Maria Laura Cavalcanti, publicada em 2020; eA falta que a festa faz: celebrações populares e antropologia na pandemia(ebook), organizada com Maria Laura Cavalcanti, publicada em 2021.
Ricardo José Barbieri é doutor em antropologia cultural com a tese “Manaus: a cidade e suas escolas de samba” concluída em 2016 no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Sociologia e Antropologia da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (PPGSA/UFRJ). Autor do livro A Acadêmicos do Dendê quer brilhar na Sapucaí, de 2012. Atualmente é professor do Departamento de Ensino da Arte e Culturas Populares no Instituto de Artes da Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (Uerj) e pesquisador associado do Núcleo de Estudos de Ritual e Sociabilidades Urbanas (Risu) do PPGSA do Instituto de Filosofia e Ciências Sociais (Ifcs) da UFRJ. Tem experiência na área de antropologia, com ênfase em cultura popular, rituais e festas e desfile das escolas de samba.
